Mayim Mermaid Academy was established in 2015 by Director, Founder, Professional Mermaid & Mermaid Instructor Michelle Forsbrey. (Mermaid MerShell). Michelle is a real life mermaid and has deep passion for the beach, ocean, surf, swimming and generally anything water based. After using her first mermaid tail, she was determined to make other mermaids’ dreams come true.<\/p>\n

Mermaid MerShell is a Mermaid Swimming Instructor. Trained by The International Mermaid Swimming Instructors Association, where she received her 5 Star Mermaid Instructors Qualification.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is now a SSI Mermaid Instructor. (Scuba Schools International)<\/p>\n

Michelle is also a STA Swimming Instructor, RLSS Lifeguard and Freediver. Mermaid MerShell is also a Certified Professional Mermaid. Trained by FreediveUK. (Freedive UK were the very first to introduce an advanced Mermaiding \/ Freediving course and have now qualified lots of other professional mermaids). Michelle received her Training in GOZO and Tenerife and has received AIDA *** Open Water Freediving and Freedive UK 3 Star Open Water Mermaid Certification.<\/p>\n

Mayim Mermaid Academy is located in Bournemouth, the South Coast and Worldwide and is the first Mermaid Academy of its kind in the UK. Mermaids and mermen, travelling from all across the country and world to have a Mermaid Experience, Mermaid Lesson or Mermaid Party at Mayim Mermaid Academy. Mayim Mermaid Academy is the UK\u2019s Mermaid Academy and has been fortunate to have been rewarded with numerous BBC appearances.<\/p>\n

Having been featured on a Start up Business Programme: A Matter of Life and Debt. This is a lovely account and excellent incite to starting up such a unique new business. Michelle has also made other BBC appearances with Mike Bushell from BBC Breakfast joining a group mermaid lesson and other BBC Breakfast presenters testing\u00a0 a mermaid tail on live TV. Getty Images has also visited Michelle\u2019s home and a mermaid lesson, which was a really fun experience. BBC South Today has featured Mayim Mermaid Academy twice now, firstly to experience mermaiding for themselves and then interviewing at the UK\u2019s first Merlympics. Mayim Mermaid Academy has also been featured on BBC Sport, BBC News USA Today and lots more including Take a Break magazine, Family Traveller, Heat magazine, Coast magazine and Surf Girl Magazine.\u00a0Our most recent appearances recently on Chanel 5’s Billionaire Babies and The One Show.<\/p>\n

Mermaid MerShell has trained nearly 2000 mermaids and mermen from the various mermaid experiences that are offered. These can (wherever possible) be BESPOKE to your own unique mermaid experience or mermaid lesson requirements.<\/p>\n

Michelle Forsbrey (Mermaid MerShell) is passionate about keeping the mermaid dream alive and offering the most magical and memorable mermaid experience. Being located on Bournemouth and Dorset\u2019s South Coast, Michelle is able to offer mermaid photo shoots as a real mermaid on Bournemouth or one of Dorset\u2019s amazing award-winning beaches.<\/p>\n

Mayim Mermaid Academy also offers connections to a range of swimmable mermaid tails, from \u201cThe Mermaid Tail Factory\u2019s\u201d beautiful Mandarin & Parrot collection. For our younger mermaids and mermen, we suggest some lighter, smaller tails to introduce you to the world of mermaiding. Mayim Mermaid Academy always have SAFETY<\/span><\/a> and CUSTOMER CARE as their main priority. Mermaid tail safety is paramount as is using any sporting equipment. You will receive a full safety brief and debrief when necessary at your mermaid lesson, as well as having to pass all the SAFETY SWIMMING ABILITY CRITERIA to have a mermaid lesson or experience with Mayim Mermaid Academy.<\/p>\n

Mermaid MerShell has more goals to achieve, to bring as much experience skills and qualifications to share with Mayim Mermaids. She will be Freediving with Go Freediving and Freedive UK on training holidays as well as a few other projects.<\/p>\n
