How old do you have to be for a Mermaid experience, lesson or party?
Mermaids and Mermen need to be age 6 plus and confident swimmers. If they are not then unfortunately they will only end up doing the out of the water photo shoot so please check their swimming ability before booking. I really want them to enjoy and get the best out of the experience and have a Magical Mermagical time.
From experience age 7 plus is preferable, unless they really are good swimmers.
What swimming ability do I need to have?
As a guide be able to swim 25m of a pool only stopping a few times if and when needed. Mermaids and Mermen should have received swimming lessons. ASA Level 4-progressing to 5 is a good guide for the minimum swimming ability, to be safe, enjoy and have fun.
What is the number of Mermaids or Mermen for a party, celebration or hen party?
Minimum of 6, and 6 preferably for cost for you. For younger age groups we would like no more than 6 in a party. However we can cater for a group of up to 10, and would have to arrange a suitable date for more assistants and lifeguard cover.
Do you do private 1:! and 2:1 mermaid lessons?
Yes we do, and really enjoy them. Its is a more individual lesson giving them time to perfect their Mermaid swimming, choreography, have fun and more time for Photo shoots above and under the water.
Do we have exclusive use of a pool?
This is is possible for parties and group lessons and can be booked if we can find the right pool at the right time. On other occasions we do not always have exclusive use of a pool, however we have a part of the pool roped off for ourselves. This is something we discuss with you on the booking and will reflect in the cost. 1:1 and 2:1 lessons are usually in quiet times in a local private leisure club pool.
What is the cost?
Hardest question, as it varies so much regarding the pools we can use, numbers in your group etc. We will discuss this on your enquiry. Also there are extras you can add on to lessons experiences and parties, again these can be discussed when you contact us.
Where are you located?
Generally in the Bournemouth area however we use pools in Wimbourne Blandford, Poole and surrounding areas too.
Do you sell tails?
Yes we do. We have a small collection of beginner tails, lighter in weight and defiantly suitable for younger mermaids and Mermen. These are in Pink, Purple and Aquamarine Blue. We also work with and use tails from The Mermaid Tail Factory, these use a proper mono fin and are for a more experienced, confident Mermaid or Merman.
