Merlympics

A competition for mermaids and mermen to celebrate their hard work in one of the newest water sports in the UK and worldwide.

The original Merlympics was held in Germany in 2015/2017 and established by Normeth Director of the International Mermaid Swimming Instructors Association. (IMSIA)

As mentioned on BBC Breakfast with Mike Bushell and Michelle Forsbrey, the UK has hosted the first UK Merlympics. Mermaid Daisy and her partner, Billy from Finsplash Mermaid School, joined Michelle in organising this inaugural event in the UK.

The 2018 Merlympics,was held in Dorset on the 19th and 20th August 2018 and was Soooo much Fun.

The UK Merlympics attracted visitors from around the world including Italy and Slovenia. They took part in exciting events including races, routines, group events, coral planting workshop, beach clean and lots more. Mermaids from age seven to 40 took part and simply had the best mermaid experience ever.
